I have no recollection of how I obtained them:<\/p>\n<p><center><br \/>\n<a href=\"\/80s-robots\/04-rubber-robots.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/80s-robots\/04-rubber-robots-s.jpg\" alt=\"Rubber robots\"\/><br \/>\n<em>Click for larger image<\/em><\/a><br \/>\n<\/center><\/p>\n<p>I call these the cereal robots because I believe they came in boxes of cereal. If memory serves. the cereal in question was Cap&#8217;n Crunch, a cereal with its finger of the pulse of the nation&#8217;s youth; years later, they would have a Cap&#8217;n Crunch-themed <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mobygames.com\/game\/windows\/capn-crunchs-crunchling-adventure\">CD-ROM game pack-in<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><center><br \/>\n<a href=\"\/80s-robots\/05-cereal-robots.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/80s-robots\/05-cereal-robots-s.jpg\" alt=\"Cereal robots\"\/><br \/>\n<em>Click for larger image<\/em><\/a><br \/>\n<\/center><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This is a little fuzzy but I recall that this amphibian creature came as a kit that you had to assemble. It could really float due to styrofoam in those side tubes. Wind it up and the flippers propel it through the water.<\/p>\n<p><center><br \/>\n<a href=\"\/80s-robots\/07-amphibian.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/80s-robots\/07-amphibian-s.jpg\" alt=\"Amphibian robot\"\/><br \/>\n<em>Click for larger image<\/em><\/a><br \/>\n<\/center><\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a grab bag of random robots. The one in the lower right corner is the <a href=\"http:\/\/multimedia.cx\/eggs\/robots-of-the-80s-part-4\/\">robot from the airport<\/a> (I didn&#8217;t remember the match until after the photo shoot):<\/p>\n<p><center><br \/>\n<a href=\"\/80s-robots\/08-misc-transformed.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/80s-robots\/08-misc-transformed-s.jpg\" alt=\"Miscellaneous robots, transformed\"\/><br \/>\n<em>Click for larger image<\/em><\/a><br \/>\n<\/center><\/p>\n<p>A robot that transforms into a pinball machine (which actually plays), which is only slightly less weird than <a href=\"http:\/\/multimedia.cx\/eggs\/robots-of-the-80s-part-2\/\">robots that transform into rocks<\/a>. That yellow plane could be wound back on a flat surface and when released, would race forward and shoot sparks.<\/p>\n<p><center><br \/>\n<a href=\"\/80s-robots\/08-misc-robots.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/80s-robots\/08-misc-robots-s.jpg\" alt=\"Miscellanous robots, robot form\"\/><br \/>\n<em>Click for larger image<\/em><\/a><br \/>\n<\/center><\/p>\n<p>2 more miscellaneous robots:<\/p>\n<p><center><br \/>\n<a href=\"\/80s-robots\/11-misc-transformed.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/80s-robots\/11-misc-transformed-s.jpg\" alt=\"Miscellaneous robots, transformed\"\/><br \/>\n<em>Click for larger image<\/em><\/a><br \/>\n<\/center><\/p>\n<p>The red robot was a generic, no-name transforming robot.
