His email notified me of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.losslessaudioblog.com\/2007\/01\/04\/the-next-lossless-format\/\">this post<\/a> which was the first indication I received that there is a entire weblog devoted to lossless audio coding &#8212; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.losslessaudioblog.com\/\">The Lossless Audio Blog<\/a>! And I thought <em>this<\/em> blog was niche. The blog&#8217;s sidebar mentions Sony&#8217;s ATRAC as being lossless, which I was unaware of (rather, a different variant called ATRAC Advanced Lossless). Also, <a href=\"http:\/\/wiki.multimedia.cx\/index.php?title=DTS-HD\">DTS-HD<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/wiki.multimedia.cx\/index.php?title=TrueHD\">Dolby True-HD<\/a> are listed as lossless codecs.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s amazing how much activity there is in the lossless audio codec field.
