{"id":241,"date":"2006-04-05T17:52:47","date_gmt":"2006-04-06T00:52:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/multimedia.cx\/eggs\/?p=241"},"modified":"2006-04-05T17:53:39","modified_gmt":"2006-04-06T00:53:39","slug":"everyone-looks-good","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/multimedia.cx\/eggs\/everyone-looks-good\/","title":{"rendered":"Everyone Looks Good"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Here&#8217;s yet another article about that <a href=\"http:\/\/multimedia.cx\/eggs\/us-government-multimedia-hackers\/\">U.S. government-funded bug scan<\/a> that Coverity is performing for various prominent open source projects: <a href=\"http:\/\/news.com.com\/2100-1002_3-6057669.html?part=rss&#038;tag=6057669&#038;subj=news\">Developers fast to fix open-source bugs<\/a>. From the graph accompanying the article, it looks like the exercise has been an unqualified success. However, I&#8217;m privy to the results of some of those scans. I can tell you that the scanning tools are highly paranoid and report large numbers of &#8220;bugs&#8221; that are non-issues.
