I’m technically off the ffmpeg-devel list right now. A few days ago, my ISP started having trouble delivering email between my mail server and the list server. I’m still trying to resolve the problem. Wouldn’t you know, some interesting stuff has been going down:
- Ian Caulfield has contributed a patch for Meridian Lossless Packing. For the uninitiated, MLP (a.k.a. Dolby TrueHD) is the lossless audio format used on DVD-audio discs.
- Peter Ross (who worked out the American Laser Games MM format, which inexplicably remains the most popular page on the MultimediaWiki) is working on incorporating support for all Electronic Arts formats.
- Kostya has contributed support for the SIFF format. “Hey Jonas! Are you out there?” Jonas first sent me these SIFF samples 3 years ago, from one of 2 games known to use the format: Norse by Norse West: The Return of the Lost Vikings. I thought he might be interested to hear the news.
