		<description>It&#039;s not eating the dashes-- it&#039;s just the HTML or CSS deciding to render double dashes using a single character. It&#039;s particularly annoying when I am typing out a Unix command with a long option that explicitly requires a double dash (like &#039;wget --continue&#039;).</description>

		<description>actually, rv40 isnt dead by a long shot. its currently a heavily used codec in chinese bittorrent sites (like http://bt.ydy.com/ ).

so i&#039;m sure a ton of digital pirat-- people will be happy to have rv40 support.</description>
